I'm very excited for our new school year to start. We have so many exciting learning opportunities planned for this year. One of which is to have ipads in our classroom. We are very fortunate to be able to have enough ipads for every two students in our room. We will be exploring how we can use the ipads to enhance our learning and are looking forward to sharing that with you!

Rainforest
First graders recently studied the rainforest. We created this hallway decoration. Students chose an
animal from the rainforest to research. They wrote their reports then drew and colored a picture of their animal to hang on our hallway decorations. I wish I had taken a picture of the final product. It was pretty amazing!

We celebrated Dr. Seuss's birthday back in March but am just getting our pictures on now!
We had fun stepping in paint to make a footprint. Of course, teachers had fun, too!
Making Cat in the Hat hats with Oreo cookies, frosting and gummy Lifesavers! Mmmm........
Reading Dr. Seuss books together!
Our classroom door.
We measured our foot print different ways.
I just love our Easter egg project! Trace an egg shape onto construction paper. Create a design using Elmer's liquid glue. After glue dries color spaces using bright chalk. After applying chalk, wipe chalk with a kleenex tissue for a smooth look.
